first_imgLast week we heard that HTC’s first tablet was not going to be the Scribe, that device will apparently launch in June. The HTC Flyer on the other hand is expected to land in March, and now we may have the final specs of the the device.Multiple sources speaking to have divulged most of the important information regarding the tablet’s features. Here’s a rundown:AdChoices广告7-inch capacitive touchscreen (1024 x 600)Ships with a stylusQualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 (same as Desire HD)4GB on-board flash storage1GB RAMAndroid 2.3 Gingerbread running modified Sense for tablets (might be Android 3.0 by launch)HSPA (download speed up to 14.4Mbps, uploads to 5.76Mbps)HDMI out, MicroSD card slot5-megapixel and 1.3-megapixel camerasSkype pre-installed for video conferencing and callsWhat’s clear is HTC want the Flyer to be a phone as well as a tablet due to the pre-installed Skype. This is possibly the easiest solution to competing with FaceTime out the box. However, it will be the only way to make a call on the device. The 5-megapixel camera is thought to have an LED flash and will also be used for facial recognition. As for HTC Sense, apparently it has been updated to work better on a tablet device with a larger screen. It’s thought to offer a more desktop-like experience. All of these details are unconfirmed by HTC, but we don’t have to wait too long to see how close they are if the Flyer really does ship in March.Read more at Amobil.nolast_img read more
